Guide to Using the Text Tools
HOW TO POSITION A TEXT BLOCK You can move any text block by moving the cursor over any word in the text block and clicking without releasing and then dragging your mouse to a new position. You will see the blue outline around the card appear when the block is active and able to be moved. Note: We recommend you do not position text all the way to the edge of the card, as most printers prefer you have an eighth of an inch safe area from the edge to ensure your text is not accidentally cut off. |
USING THE GRID TO HELP YOU POSITION THE TEXT BLOCK If you have more than one text block and you want to position it relative to other blocks, you can turn the grid on to give you a visual alignment guide. To do this, click on the "View Grid" button above your card. When you are done, click on the button again to hide it. |
HOW TO ADD A NEW TEXT BLOCK In the "Text Options" area on the right, click on "Add Text Block". A new text block will appear above your card. You can position it where you like on the card, and modify the text using the instructions that follow for selecting and styling text. |
