Guide to Using the Text Tools
The business card maker uses "text blocks", allowing to you to position your type where you want it on the card.  You do not need to use more than one text block... you can have many lines in one block.  The default layout of most designs uses one text block, making it easy for you to ensure your text is lined up properly.  Formatting text within a text block works in a similar way as using any word processing software.  If you want to add text in a additional place on your card, or you want to add text to the back of your card, you can do this by adding a text block.

HOW TO POSITION A TEXT BLOCK
You can move any text block by moving the cursor over any word in the text block and clicking without releasing and then dragging your mouse to a new position.  You will see the blue outline around the card appear when the block is active and able to be moved.

Note: We recommend you do not position text all the way to the edge of the card, as most printers prefer you have an eighth of an inch safe area from the edge to ensure your text is not accidentally cut off.

USING THE GRID TO HELP YOU POSITION THE TEXT BLOCK
If you have more than one text block and you want to position it relative to other blocks, you can turn the grid on to give you a visual alignment guide.  To do this, click on the "View Grid" button above your card.  When you are done, click on the button again to hide it.

HOW TO ADD A NEW TEXT BLOCK
In the "Text Options" area on the right, click on "Add Text Block".  A new text block will appear above your card.  You can position it where you like on the card, and modify the text using the instructions that follow for selecting and styling text.

HOW TO REMOVE A TEXT BLOCK
First you need to activate the text box you want to remove.  To do this, double click on the words of the text block you want to remove (you'll know it's activated when you see three blue buttons appear on the top of the box).  Then, in the "Text Options" area click on "Remove Text Block".

HOW TO SELECT TEXT WITHIN A TEXT BOX
In order to change the font, size, or color of your text you'll need to select it. First you need to activate the text box you want to remove.  To do this, double click on the words of the text block you want to remove (you'll know it's activated when you see three blue buttons appear on the top of the box).

Now you can place the typing cursor on one side of the words you wish to select.  Press down on the mouse without releasing the button and drag the mouse over the words.  Release the mouse when the words are highlighted.  Now whatever options you pick will be applied to the selected text.
If you want to select every word within a given text box, you can also use the "Select All" button that appears over the activated text block.  All the text in the box will be highlighted, and any style change you make in the "Text Options" area will be applied to the entire block.
HOW TO CHANGE THE COLOR SELECTED TEXT
Use the "Selected Text Color" picker in the "Text Options" area to change the color of selected text only.  NOTE: If you use the "All Text " picker in the "Colors" area on the left, every text block will be changed, and any spot changes you have made within your blocks will be lost.

HOW TO CHANGE THE COLOR OF EVERY TEXT BLOCKS YOUR CARD.
Use the "All Text" picker in the "Colors" area on the right.  NOTE: If you use the "All Text " picker in the "Colors" area on the left, every text block will be changed, and any spot changes you have made within your blocks will be lost.
